New Class A Building Planned for Naples

By: Editorial Staff

Project Partners are Lutgert, Barron Collier

The Lutgert Cos. and Barron Collier Partnership have joined together in the development and construction of a new class-A office building, called the Quarles & Brady Building. The 43,000-square-foot office building is located on Goodlette Road, approximately one-quarter mile north of Pine Ridge Road.

The building will provide the Naples headquarters for the Quarles & Brady law firm, which will occupy approximately 15,000 square feet of space on the third floor.

The headquarters for Lutgert Smith Lesher Insurance will also be located in the building, taking approximately 14,000 square feet on the ground floor. LSL Insurance president Bud Hornbeck comments that "the building's centralized location was one of our biggest attractions. The signalized access onto the now expanding Goodlette Road will really make it convenient for both our clients and staff."

In addition, prime second-floor office space is available, with sizes ranging from 1,000 square feet to 14,000 square feet. The building is a contemporary design reflecting the influence of Mediterranean architecture. It features a marble entry foyer and stone accents.

Completion is anticipated in the summer of 2003.

"The Quarles and Brady Building represents a continuing strategic alliance between the Collier and Lutgert families that started with The Estuary at Grey Oaks," said Dave Borden, vice president of Commercial Real Estate for Barron Collier Cos. "Pre-leasing two-thirds of the building to quality tenants such as Lutgert Smith Lesher Insurance and the law firm of Quarles and Brady speaks to the strength of the Pine Ridge and Goodlette location, as well as the experience of both owners. The Quarles and Brady Building joins the existing Premier Executive Center in an office campus of over 80,000 square feet. This really sets the stage for Magnolia Square, a neighborhood commercial center planned on the remaining 20 acres."

The Barron Collier Cos. have been involved in development of other Southwest Florida commercial and office centers including Creekside Commerce Park, Creekside Medical Center, Bay Landing, Poinciana Professional Park, Granada Shoppes, Old Naples Self Storage North and Premier Executive Centers.

In Naples, The Lutgert Cos' commercial projects include a large office building, The Northern Trust Building, plus top tier shopping centers like the Village on Venetian Bay, The Promenade at Bonita Bay, Neapolitan Way Shopping Center and Crossroads Market.
