Gary L. Tice, president and chief executive officer of Naples-based F.N.B. Corp., has been selected by an independent panel of judges as a finalist for the Financial Services category in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Florida Awards program. Tice will be honored during an awards presentation on Thursday, June 19 in Orlando.
Winners in the Florida Awards program will then be eligible for the National Entrepreneur Of The Year awards. All of the national award recipients and finalists will be announced and honored at the Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards in Palm Springs, Calif., on Nov. 22.
Tice, 55, has served as president and chief executive officer since January 2001. Prior to that, he served as president and chief operating officer. Tice is a member of the American Bankers Association Community Bankers Council, a past director of the Florida Bankers Association, and a member of the Financial Services Roundtable. In 1998, he was named to the Collier County Junior Achievement Business Leadership Hall of Fame for service as a "champion of free enterprise." He also is a graduate of Leadership Collier.
