Although Arjun lives about two hours away, he regularly spends
weekends with his brother in Fort Myers. Arun’s wife, Kamya, whom he married
last year, is staying with his mother in Botswana in the wake of Raju’s death,
and Arun returns every few months.
The brothers also are working through SOS Children’s Villages
in Botswana to start mentoring programs and create an orphanage, and they’re
coordinating with the largest chamber of commerce in Botswana to create an
annual "Young Entrepreneurship Award." In addition, Arjun writes a weekly
entrepreneurship column for the national newspaper, Botswana Gazette.
When Palumbo met Arun’s bride, she told Kamya she would be
marrying a young man full of life and fun as well as a savvy businessman with an
old soul.
"Twenty-six years I’ve been practicing law," Palumbo says. "Never, in all my
years, have I met someone his age who knows the depth and breadth of business
that he does. He’s the mastermind. He knows what the world economy will be doing
three years from now. He’s got his plans for the next 50 years."
