Gates will donate $15,000 annually to the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.

Pelican Bay Foundation president and chief operating officer James F. Hoppensteadt and Naples Daily News vice president of advertising Chris Doyle joined the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce board of directors.

 

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida gave a grant of $100,000 to the Physician Led Access Network of Collier County to add a staff member.

WilsonMiller project manager Todd Wyatt was elected treasurer of the Promised Lands section of the American Planning Association’s Florida chapter, and project manager Rebecca King was named Young Engineer of 2007 by the Florida Engineering Society’s Calusa chapter.

WilsonMiller employees who earned certification include Curt S. Schaeffer and Justin R. Styer from the Ecological Society of America, Jennifer Osterhoudt from Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and Marcia Fern from the Geographic Infor-mation System Institute.

David Lawrence Center honored the following for helping children with substance-abuse problems: Judge Christine Greider, Judge Daniel Monaco, Judge Lauren Brodie, Department of Children & Families child protective investigator Laura Frary, Department of Juvenile Justice senior juvenile probation officer Christina Hoskins, and Sgt. Tom Wedlock of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
Also, the Center earned the Gold Seal from the Joint Commission, which evaluates healthcare providers.

Lee County Port Authority, Hole Montes and Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. shared the Florida Department of Transportation’s Outstanding Commercial Service Airport Project of the Year Award for the runway rehabilitation at Southwest Florida International Airport.

Northwestern Mutual donated $10,000 to Hodges University’s American Military Veterans Edu-
cation Fund.

Chico’s FAS Inc. achieved gold employee-fitness status in the American Heart Association’s Start! Fit-Friendly program.
