Travel Tracker
As you read this, I will have recently returned from vacation—and I’ll wish I’d had a Super Trackstick with me. This gizmo keeps track of itself via GPS and Google maps. Slip one in a pocket or purse and it records its own location, time, date, speed, heading, altitude and temperature at preset intervals. A magnetic mount allows it to be attached to a vehicle, and it can be tracked through a Web site. The Trackstick can store months of travel. Companies can track drivers and parents can know where their teens are. This is a one-time purchase that works only with Google Earth. $269. www.googleearthstore.com

Picture This
The trouble with video cameras is the same as with many electronics: Too many options make them too complex and bulky. Camcorders are too big to easily carry at all times, and making a videotape for YouTube still requires difficult editing. But the next generation has arrived, with Pure Digital’s Flip Video and RCA’s Small Wonder. They fit in a purse, don’t use tape, and plug directly into a computer’s USB port. The Flip model even outputs a file ready for upload. They begin at $100. Moms and bloggers have been waiting for this. www.puredigitalinc.com and www.rca.com

Steam Clean
The WMK A-16 shower stall is a steam room as well. Dubbed the Apollo Steam Shower, this stall is more than a place to wash off the daily grime. In addition to a shower spray, it has a built-in steam generator and hydrotherapy foot massager, plus radio/stereo inputs to shower you with music. $11,999. www.steamshower.org
