Aaron Judd, an optometrist with Florida Eye Health in Fort Myers and Punta Gorda, co-authored a study on glaucoma screening and management that was published in the Journal of the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry.

The following won Excel Awards from the Florida Home Builders Association: B-Squared Advertising, 19 awards; The Jack Parker Corp., six; Stock Development, three; Remington Reserve community, one; and Riha Design Group, one.

Progressive Builders, Fort Myers, and Abbie Joan Enterprises, Naples, were among Qualified Remodeler magazine’s top 500 remodeling firms. Progressive Builders owner Mike Spreckelmeier won the Big 50 Award from Remodeling magazine.

National Association of Home Builders has certified Greg Goggin, of Creative Tile & Hardwood Floors, and Karen LaMendola, of Abbie Joan Enterprises, as aging-in-place specialists.

 

Realtor Lori Young, of Florida Home Realty, Naples, completed EcoBroker International’s energy and environmental training program.

The American Hotel & Lodging Association has certified Mike Fischer, tourism education manager for the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as a hospitality trainer.

The Carlisle Naples senior community won a National Mature Media Award from the Mature Market Resource Center.

Sheeley Architects Inc. and Entech Computer Services, both of Fort Myers, are among Inc. magazine’s 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States, based on revenue growth from 2003 to 2006.

The Florida Public Relations Association presented three Golden Image Awards to LCEC, two to the Lee County Elections Office Commun-ity Awareness Program and one each to Priority Marketing, the Fort Myers Redevelopment Agency, South-west Florida Addiction Services, Susan Bennett Marketing & Media, Bonita Bay Group and Gulfshore Life magazine.
