Jennifer Marquis-Muradaz, Greg Helton and Lynn Holley took top prize in the nationwide 2012 TV ME! contest for their new reality TV series idea Best Seller: America’s Next Great Novelist.

Hodges University selected Wayne and Mavis Miller as its 2012 Luminaries of the Year award recipients.

Gov. Rick Scott appointed Matt Simmons to the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board for a three-year term.

The Education Foundation of Collier County named Herb and Ann Rowe the 2012 Heart of the Apple Award recipients.

Lois Bolin and Sandy Parker joined the board of directors of First Book-Collier County.
