The Grand Parade, 7-9 p.m. on February 18, 2012, is a two-hour extravaganza featuring national and local marching bands, floats, local government and law enforcement officials, a famous Grand Marshall and more. The parade brings the entire Southwest Florida community out in celebration of the life and achievements of our local winter resident, Thomas Edison. FGCU 5th annual Alumni Weekend

FGCU Alumni Association will host the annual Alumni Weekend event at the FGCU campus from Thursday, February 9 to Saturday, February 11, 2012. The public is invited to join FGCU for a series of events that celebrate the success and growth the university has accomplished. The weekend pays tribute to alumni who devoted much time and effort to their University years and have since used their education to better themselves, their families, and their communities. The events include an art gallery show, an etiquette class, Eagle Night Out at Bar Louie, Green and Blue Barbeque with men’s and women’s basketball games, as well as an alumni basketball game and campus bus and walking tours.
