Psychology has traditionally focused on people’s problems or dysfunction. Positive psychology is a relatively new field that focuses on the factors that contribute positively to mental health and well‐being. Positive psychology draws from recent research in neuroscience and provides practical insight on ways we can improve our psychological well‐being and cultivate an optimistic, resilient mindset.
