INDUSTRY AWARDS
>>For the second consecutive year, Richard G. Lewis, Ph.D. , of HSA Engineers & Scientists (www.hsa-env.com) has received the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council’s (IRTC) Industry Recognition Award for outstanding contribution by an industry representative to the Enhanced Attenuation Chlorinated Organics Team. ITRC is a state-led coalition working together with industry and stakeholders to achieve regulatory acceptance of environmental technologies.
POOL AWARD
>>Club Sandoval's Lagoon Pool, designed by Jackson Pools, earned a gold award as the top entry in its category from the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. Sandoval is being developed by Bonita Bay Group in Cape Coral on Veterans Parkway just west of Surfside Boulevard.
SHELL POINT PROJECT
>>Stevens Construction Inc., (www.stevensconstructioninc.com) has started renovating the four-story King's Crown assisted-living facility at Shell Point Retirement Community. The construction company will remodel existing recreational and common areas and expand the ground floor to include additional recreational space and administrative offices. Construction is slated for completion in early 2009.
VP OF COMMERCIAL LENDING
>>Hillcrest Bank Florida (www.hcbfl.com) has named Christopher D. Rowan as vice president and commercial lender. He is responsible for origination of commercial loans and new business development in the bank’s Bonita Springs office. Rowan has more than 12 years of banking experience. Prior to joining Hillcrest Bank Florida, he served as vice president of commercial lending for The Royal Palm Bank of Florida.

>>Collier Enterprises has announced two staff additions. Reid Schermer has joined the company as project manager for its Sabal Bay community as well as other special projects. Michael Hueniken has joined Collier Enterprises as senior project manager for the company's Big Cypress Stewardship District as well as other special projects..
AG TOUR
>> The 2008 Collier County Ag Tour is scheduled for March 12. Participants visit private farm lands, watch harvest operations and get a close look at harvesting equipment. The cost of the tour is $55 per ticket, which may be purchased at the Collier County University Extension Office at 14700 Immokalee Road. There are two tour times, 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. For more information, call 353-4244.
