FINANCIALS DELAYED
>>TIB Bank says it will not be able to release its fourth-quarter
and year-end financial results until it completes a review of the accounting for certain investment securities and their valuations, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company had filed a report if its quarterly income and financial condition with the FDIC on Jan.30. Now, TIB believes there will be adjustments to those numbers based on the review.

BLUES FOR A CAUSE
>>The Shelter for Abused Women & Children is one of three beneficiaries
of the second annual Bonita Blues Festival from noon to 8 p.m. on March 15 at Riverside Park. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the gate; children 12 and under free. The event features musicians John Mooney, Albert Castiglia, Blind Pass, Little Eddie and the Fat Fingers, and Frank Corso. The event will provide assistance to local nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping infants, the homeless, as well as abused women and children throughout the community. Rounding out the executive committee are: parliamentarian, Tony Miller; historian, Pete Quasius; and past president, Glee Duff.

LARGE DONATION
>> The Mediterra Fund's recent allocation of $200,000 to Lee and Collier County
programs that help children and the needy pushes the group's total financial contribution to $550,000. The fund, which is financed by a portion of the resale of existing homes in Mediterra (www.mediterranaples.com), recently announced its 2007-08 contributions, which will help 12 agencies dedicated to education, literacy, and helping children and the hungry, including soup kitchens and after-school programs.
