TIB POSTS LOSS
>>TIB Financial Corp. (Nasdaq:TIBB) has reported a $2.4 million loss for 2007, down from a $9 million profit the year before. The company posted a fourth-quarter loss of $6.5 million compared with net income of $1.9 million during the same period in 2006. TIB attributed the negative numbers to loan losses and the write-down of $5.7 million of investment securities.
NAPLES-AREA HOME SALES
>>January home sales were up slightly compared to a year ago, including an 11 percent increase in condo sales, according to a report released by the Naples Area Board of Realtors, which tracks home listings and sales within Collier County, excluding Marco Island. Sales of homes less than $300,000 increase to 103 for the month compared with 81 in January 2007. Home sales in the $500,000 - $1 million category decreased to 50 in January compared with 60 for the same month last year.

>>HSA Engineers & Scientists (www.hsa-env.com) has been selected by the City of Fort Myers to provide civil engineering design services to realign Edison Avenue from U.S. 41 to McGregor Boulevard. The project will improve traffic flow in the vicinity and to develop a “gateway” to the neighborhood at McGregor Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue.
