has been reappointed to the board of directors of the Florida League of Mayors, an organization for mayors, and founded and developed by mayors. Feichthaler was also a charter member of the Florida League of Mayors in 2006.

, a Naples-based electrical contractor, has announced that longtime partner Nina Mason has purchased ownership of the company from partners Dan Layel and Gilbert Landry. No operational changes are anticipated, and both Layel and Landry will remain involved with the company as consultants.

Ershowsky has worked as a public relations and marketing professional in Southwest Florida for 15 years. A graduate of Vassar College, Ershowsky has a Master’s in Business Administration and is an accredited PR professional.

STEM CELL CONNECTION

, a local reproductive endocrinology practice, is now sending embryos designated for stem cell research to Harvard University’s Stem Cell Institute. Previously, when couples requested to have their embryos donated to stem cell research, acceptance of these embryos by academic centers has been slowed by a variety of ethical, political and legal issues. Specialists in Reproductive Medicine and Harvard University have solidified a working relationship to facilitate this process, and patients’ designated embryos will go to Harvard’s institute on an ongoing basis.

has ranked 100 on the 2007 Boating Industry magazine’s Top 100 list. The list recognizes the “best-of-the-best” among more than 5,000 marine dealers in North America. The ranking is in the magazine’s January issue.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
>>The Conservancy of Southwest Florida
(www.conservancy.org) has launched a $25 million capital campaign to protect the region’s natural resources, build its endowment and improve the 21-acre Conservancy Nature Center campus that was built in the early 1980s. Dolph von Arx, conservancy vice chairman and capital campaign committee member, says that the organization has raised $20 million.

HIGH-RISE AWARD
>>Azure at Bonita Bay
(www.bonitabayhighrises.com), a Lutgert Companies high-rise, has earned a Silver Award from the Sales and Marketing Council of the National Association of Home Builders, making it eligible for a Gold Award, to be announced in February. Azure received the award for Best Landscape Design for an Attached Community, and was recognized for the best landscape design in the Florida-Georgia region. The awards were based on landscape effectiveness, impact and function.
