MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY
>>Youth Haven
(www.youthhaven.net) has opened a children’s residential mental health treatment center on the organization’s 25-acre East Naples campus. The new facility, which is being funded through a grant from the Naples Children and Education Foundation, expands the number of children living on Youth Haven’s campus to 32 at any given time. Janette’s Cottage is a 12-bed residence that provides a variety of mental health treatment services for children through age 12. Youth Haven is an emergency shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children.

PATIENT CARE
>>Compass Construction Inc.
(www.compassconstruction.com) has started construction on a 27,477-square-foot patient care facility for Hernando Pasco Hospice located north of Tampa. When complete, it will provide 24 resident care rooms, eight administrative offices, a lobby, full-service kitchen and dining rooms and more.

CAPITAL GRILLE
>>The Capital Grille,
a national restaurant chain, will open an 8,000-square-foot location at The Mercato in Naples. The restaurant is known for its dry-aged, hand-cut beef selections, fresh seafood, chef’s seasonal specials and an extensive wine list, according to Mercato developer, The Lutgert Companies.

SAKS EXPANDS
>>Saks Fifth Avenue Naples
will expand and renovate its store at the Waterside Shops. The store will grow in size by approximately 20,000 square feet. The store will remain open during the project, which will be completed in time for the 2008-2009 season.

NEW OFFICE SPACE
>>Waldrop Group
has started building Waldrop Center, a class-A office building at Bonita Grande Drive in Bonita Springs. When completed this fall, the three-story building will contain 38,500 square feet of professional office/medical space.


TWINS PLAZA
>>J.L. Wallace Inc.
has completed construction of Twins Plaza, a shopping center at 2612 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral. The project included the construction of a 23,314-square-foot, single-story structure with a metal tile roof.
