HOME SALES
>>Naples-area, single-family homes sales in February totaled 127 compared with 149 reported during the same period in 2007, according to the Naples Area Board of Realtors. Condo sales last month increased to 162 compared with 155 sold in February of last year. Pending sales of single-family homes and condos in February increased 10.6 percent to 513 from 464 tallied during the same month last year. TAX LEADER
>>Peter Bozetarnik, managing director of RSM McGladrey, has been named the firm’s tax leader for the Florida practice. Bozetarnik will oversee tax services provided to clients from any of the firm’s seven Florida offices. Additionally, Bozetarnik will lead strategy and business development initiatives for growing the firm’s tax practice throughout the state. Bozetarnik is a certified public accountant and graduate of Indiana University.
BANKER ON THE MOVE
>>First American Bank has announced three personnel changes. Donna Percival has been named vice president of commercial lending for the bank’s Fort Myers location. She was formerly vice president of commercial lending for Busey Bank in Fort Myers. Todd Rinehart has been promoted to senior vice president of commercial lending, and Monica Brown has been appointed assistant vice president for the commercial lending division.
ESTERO BOULEVARD WORKSHOP
>>The public is invited to discuss the proposed the Estero Boulevard Corridor Analysis and Design Project at a workshop from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Chapel by the Sea, 100 Chapel St. in Fort Myers Beach. Representatives from Lee County will be available to discuss the project, answer questions and listen to input. No formal presentation will be given. The Lee County Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the Town of Fort Myers Beach, recently began the Estero Boulevard Corridor Analysis and Design Project. This project is the first step in implementing the Town’s Estero Boulevard Master Plan.
SEAFOOD AT THE MERCATO
>>McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, a national seafood restaurant chain, will open an 8,000-square-foot location at The Mercato in North Naples. The company has 77 restaurants in the United States and six in Canada under The Boathouse brand. The Mercato is scheduled to open in early 2009.
