2017 Content-Marketing Trends

More and more businesses are turning to content marketing as a way to promote their brands.

In fact, 39 percent of businesses are planning to increase their content-marketing spending over the next twelve months, according to a 2017 B2B Content Marketing Trends report.

If you’re one of those companies, here are four content-marketing trends, revealed by the report, to help you plan your delivery.

1.) 73 percent of marketers say they will implement content marketing as an “ongoing business process,” instead of a momentary campaign, to increase success.

2.) The top five content-marketing tactics used by business-to-business marketers are: social media content (83 percent), blogs (80 percent), email newsletters (77 percent), in-person events (68 percent), and e-books (65 percent).

3.) 93 percent of business-to-business marketers mostly use email to distribute content. LinkedIn is the next most-popular distribution vehicle, at 89 percent.

4.) 84 percent of marketers use paid social media promotion to help get their messages out.

Audiovisuals are also becoming another content-marketing tactic, with 60 percent of business-to-business marketers implementing pre-produced video. This Southwest Florida-based production company has already helped some local businesses with this.
