The new year is just a few months away, and with the whirlwind of the holidays, it will be here before many of us know it. To help businesses stay ahead, Dimension Data compiled a list of top IT trends affecting companies in 2018. Here are some of their findings.

Artificial intelligence will have an even greater impact on corporations, as more organizations turn to virtual assistance to help cut costs and complete routine tasks.

The Internet of Things will become a bigger reality in the next year, leading to more “smart workplaces,” Dimension Data says.

Higher quality virtual conferences will take place with the help of WebRTC, which gives web browsers real-time communication capabilities.

Businesses will make more use of video technology for training and communication purposes.

Millennial employees will continue to utilize business apps to streamline their work processes, even if the apps are not used by the companies they work for.
