Lee County Commissioners and other public officials will join in the dedication of the Lee County Government Center in honor of the late Commissioner John E. Manning. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 17 at 1039 SE Ninth Place in Cape Coral. Manning, who died in July, was appointed to the Lee Board of County Commissioners in 1988 and served as a commissioner for more than 15 years. Manning was a Cape Coral resident for many years. Prior to being appointed as county commissioner, he served as a member of the Cape Coral City Council. Manning dedicated more than 25 years of his life to public service.
