TGR Financial’s 2017 Profit Increases Over ‘16

TGR Financial Inc., the holding company for First Florida Integrity Bank, announced a year-end profit $9.3 million, a 63 percent increase—$3.6 million—over 2016 net income of $5.7 million. The company recorded the year-end figure prior to the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act—enacted on Dec. 22—that required companies to adjust deferred tax assets and deferred tax liabilities by an amount commensurate with the reduction in the federal corporate tax rate to 21 percent. As a result, TGR Financial Inc. reduced its 2017 earnings to $8.1 million. Deposits exceeded $1.1 billion at year-end, an increase of $209 million, year-over-year. And loans increased by $58 million during the year to $968 million as of Dec. 31. “We are very pleased with our 2017 results, and with an improving Florida economy, we look forward to continued performance improvements in 2018,” said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gary L.
