APEX Award Finalists Announced

The five finalists for the 13th Annual Apex Awards presented by Vector & Ink are Susan Bennett of Susan Bennett Marketing and Media LC; Kelly L. Fayer of Kelly L. Fayer P.A; Teri Hansen of Priority Marketing; Christina Harris Schwinn of Pavese Law Firm; and Judy Williams of SPADA Salon and Day Spa. The finalists were named during the Women in Business meeting on July 11 at Hodges University. The 2018 APEX Award recipient will be announced at the APEX Award Gala on Aug. 25 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. Atilus Develops Nationwide Web App for Boat Dealers

Atilus has developed a web application connecting boat dealers to Boat Trader’s listing API, saving time and streamlining web-based administrative tasks faced by all dealers throughout the country. Atilus partnered with Boat Trader and Fish Tale Boats to create a programmed system to dynamically pull and display boat listings from Boat Trader’s listing API utilizing WordPress and a WordPress-based listing system. The tool connects Fish Tale’s website directly to the Boat Trader system and pulls listings from Fish Tale’s account. The development team at Atilus also built several custom widgets and functions in WordPress to display the data seamlessly within the site’s original design. Since Boat Trader is a national boat listing tool, the boat-listing application developed by Atilus will be utilized by boat dealers nationwide. Any boat dealers utilizing Boat Trader & WordPress can immediately integrate the new tool to save in administrative costs.

Dental Practice to Open in Estero

Dr. Aaron Delgado and Dr. Jordan Eckardt will soon offer dental services to the community of Estero at Dental Care at Grande Oak. The new full-service family dental practice is set to open on July 19. Dental Care at Grande Oak will be fully equipped with the latest products and equipment available in the dental industry. Delgado received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He is also Invisalign certified. Eckardt also obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to dental school, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Miami. Dental Care at Grande Oak is located at 20330 Grande Oak Shoppes Blvd., Unit 101, in Estero. The office is now accepting new patients. DeAngelis Diamond Expands to Detroit

DeAngelis Diamond has expanded to Detroit. Since its inception in 1996, DeAngelis Diamond has grown from a single office headquartered in Naples to a five-office operation with locations throughout the Southeast U.S. Its newest office in Detroit will be the company’s sixth location and first office in the Midwest. DeAngelis Diamond’s Detroit office will focus on small- to medium-sized projects in the greater metro region and surrounding areas. BB&T Insurance Services Rebrands

BB&T Insurance Holdings Inc., a subsidiary of BB&T Corp., has rebranded its BB&T Insurance Services retail broker. BB&T Insurance Services began doing business as McGriff Insurance Services on June 25. This includes BB&T-Oswald Trippe and Company. The new name comes from affiliate McGriff, Seibels & Williams, which provides property and casualty insurance, employee benefits, life and pension plans, financial services and surety products, as well as specialty insurance programs. BB&T Insurance Services of California and BridgeTrust Title are not included in the initial rebranding. Expanded client services include business and individual insurance, employee benefits, risk management with specialty offerings in agribusiness, construction, behavioral health care, architecture and engineering, and entertainment. The brand transition will include a new logo with an updated version of the McGriff name, as well as an updated color palette, fonts and other design elements. The rebranding is occurring just prior to the close of the acquisition of Regions Insurance Group, which has 31 offices across the Southeast, Texas and Indiana. BB&T Insurance Services announced plans in June month to acquire Regions Insurance and expects to complete the deal in early third quarter.
