The Regional Economic Research Institute at Florida Gulf Coast University is conducting a two-part impact study of the coronavirus on Southwest Florida.
 
The survey will provide inside on the regional effects of the coronavirus and be an important part of applications from the area for state and federal relief efforts following this episode, according to a news release. The survey results will enable the region to be better prepared when these efforts become available.
