Fort Myers-based women’s retailer Chico’s FAS is partnering with delivery service provider Walmart GoLocal to offer customers across its brand portfolio the option for online orders from the company’s three unique fashion brands – Chico’s, White House Black Market and Soma – to be delivered directly to their doorsteps in as little as two hours. The service launched Thursday in select markets, including Fort Myers and Chicago, and will expand to other markets in 2022.

“Getting our customer what she wants, when she wants it, is another step in our ‘digital first’ customer centricity transformation,” Chico’s CEO Molly Langenstein said. “Whether delivering a last-minute black dress, pair of pajamas or a new pair of jeans, partnering with Walmart GoLocal offers a convenient delivery option and yet another way we’re able to deliver on our promise of bringing women confidence and joy.”

Walmart GoLocal, a white-label delivery service geared toward businesses seeking to expand delivery capabilities using Walmart’s nationwide coverage, is a part of the retail giant’s strategy to diversify its revenue streams and profit pools. It added Chico’s to contracts that include The Home Depot and Sam’s Club.

Chico’s, which was founded in 1983 on Sanibel Island, operates 1,279 stores in the U.S. and sells merchandise through 59 international franchise locations in Mexico and two domestic airport locations. It also offers clothing, shoes and accessories through digital boutiques and Style Connect, the company’s proprietary digital styling tool.
