Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County received seven donations of $75,000 or more from corporate and philanthropic partners to support its Park Meadows Capital Campaign. In 2022, Boys & Girls Clubs purchased the former Fort Myers Event Center with plans to turn the property into a signature location. The Park Meadows Community Club has been operating on a limited basis since the acquisition, but major renovation work is underway after the nonprofit received major donations, including $1 million from the Maylene and Wen Wu Family Foundation, $100,000 from Lennar Homes and $75,000 from an anonymous corporate donor for the Park Meadows Capital Campaign. The nonprofit received $125,000 from Comcast NBC Universal Foundation for the Innovation Lab, $125,000 from Tomahawk Construction for the Culinary Center and $125,000 from GL Homes for the Youth Playground through Passion for Playgrounds initiative.
