Preliminary site plans show Lee County is considering developing big-box retail and fuel facilities, such as a Walmart or Sam’s Club, on the southeast corner of State Road 31 and North River Road in Lee County. However, the Alva community has been clear they don’t want to see too much development in the rural area. The property would need to be rezoned to develop the facilities, WINK News reports.
