The fourth quarter of 2022 saw a net inflow of 3,300 home searchers looking to move to Cape Coral, ranking it seventh on Redfin’s Top 10 Metros Homebuyers are Moving into list. Redfin calculated the net inflows by taking the number of home searchers looking to move into each metro area and subtracting the number of searchers seeking to leave. Cape Coral saw a decrease in net inflow compared to the fourth quarter of 2021’s 4,700 home searchers. Chicago residents expressed the most interest in moving to Cape Coral in the fourth quarter. Sacramento, California, was the top metro area home buyers were seeking to move to followed by Las Vegas, Miami, Tampa and Phoenix.
