House Bill 797 streamlines access to long-term care by eliminating Certificate of Need requirements and allowing skilled nursing facilities to designate beds specifically for veterans. Senate Bill 116 expands mental health services by shifting from crisis-only interventions to early recognition and calls for a statewide plan for veteran-focused adult day care centers. Senate Bill 910 targets predatory practices by unaccredited benefits advisors, capping payouts, banning kickbacks and misleading promises and requiring background checks.
