Village of Estero government building

Village of Estero Council in January voted in favor of a master plan for a 100-acre sports park that is expected to be completed in 2026. Council at its July 2 regular meeting approved an amended contract with Chris-Tel Construction for $2,224,726 to build a maintenance building for the new park and demolish the old facility. Village staff recommended the change to keep the park plans on schedule. Separately, an Estero resident told Council during the public comment session that he has a petition with 600 signatures asking the village to build a splash pad at the park that would cater to children. Council chose not to include it in the master plan in favor of an area that might be used for food trucks.
