The Florida Division of Emergency Management will host a series of application assistance sessions in Collier County for Elevate Florida, a statewide residential mitigation program designed to protect homes and communities from natural disasters, such as hurricanes and floods. Elevate Florida representatives will be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 19 at Marco Island Station, 1280 San Marco Road, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 20 at Everglades City Hall, 102 Copeland Ave. N., and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 21 at Collier County Museum, 3331 Tamiami Trail E. in East Naples. Residents can learn about the program’s eligibility requirements and types of projects available and receive assistance with their applications. Elevate Florida educational presentations will take place daily at noon and 5 p.m. The program is open to legal property owners of residential properties in the state, including single-family homes, multifamily homes, apartment buildings, manufactured and mobile homes and condominiums.
