Learning something new is hard enough, but some children have an extra hurdle: their next meal. Each month, Parkside Elementary School in East Naples distributes food to 50 to 70 families in need. Distribution is made possible by Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida in partnership with Collier County Public Schools. The county has a total of 10 school pantries. Overall, Harry Chapin has food pantries in 46 schools across the region, WINK News reports. None of this is possible without donations, which is why WINK News is helping feed families in need.
