Popular Matlacha restaurant Miceli’s reopened six weeks after suffering damage from hurricanes Helene and Milton. Co-owners Ellen Lane and Amber Brady said mud seeped into the restaurant at 3930 Pine Island Road during Helene, stretching from the front door to the back door, and Milton’s effects kept the eatery closed until Nov. 7. It’s not the first time Miceli’s was forced to start over, as Hurricane Ian brought 40 inches of floodwater into the business in 2022, WINK News reports.
