A long-delayed McDonald’s finally opened April 11 at the intersection of Immokalee Road and Orangetree Boulevard in Golden Gate Estates. It’s the first business to launch in the adjoining Winchester Center and The Randall at Orangetree developments. Although completed in late 2023, the freestanding building’s waterline connection and a punch list of development issues prevented the fast-food chain from opening in the last four months. Ironically, its planned opening for 11 a.m. April 11 was delayed for nearly two hours because of a burst pipe that flooded the dining area. Nevertheless, the new restaurant will be open 24/7 now, although only the drive-thru will be open late night after 11 p.m. The location at 13811 Immokalee Road is the first on the Gulf Coast for Miami-based Argo Management Inc., which operates 10 McDonald’s franchises in the Miami, Hialeah and Coral Gables areas.
