Atwell, a national consulting, engineering and construction services firm, has acquired Banks Engineering, a 90-person firm providing civil engineering, planning and land surveying services out of offices in Fort Myers and Port Charlotte. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 1992, Banks Engineering has supported private sector work for a range of clients throughout the state. The firm provides expertise at every stage, from initial concept to project completion and beyond. Atwell is a firm with more than 1,800 professionals across the country with clients in industries, such as real estate and land development, power and energy, hydrocarbons and infrastructure. It provides turnkey services, including land and right-of-way support, planning, landscape architecture, engineering, land surveying, environmental compliance and permitting, natural resources consulting and project and program management.
