Wayne Wiles Floor Coverings founder dies

Long-time Lee County resident, entrepreneur and philanthropist Wayne Wiles died on Dec. 23 after a several-year battle with cancer, his family announced on Monday. Wiles came to Fort Myers in 1951 and went into the flooring business in 1957. He founded Wayne Wiles Floor Coverings, which served the flooring needs of Southwest Florida for more than 64 years. As of this writing, memorial service details have not been announced.
