A $49.5 million Naples real estate sale at the end of 2021 was one of the region’s top residential deals of the year.

The home is in Naples’ Port Royal neighborhood, where the most expensive home ever sold in Naples occurred last January. That home at 2700 Gordon Drive sold for $52 million.

Minneapolis-based ACME LLC purchased the 4540 Gordon Drive home on Dec. 30 from Ray D. and Eva-Marie Berry of Greensboro, North Carolina, according to the property deed filed with the Collier Clerk of Court’s office. Ray Berry, the founder of The Fresh Market, a supermarket chain based in Greensboro, was represented in the deal by William Raveis Real Estate associates Thomas Campbell and Richard Prebish.

In its real estate listing, William Raveis marketed the home for sale as “one of the very best beachfront locations in Naples, built to exacting standards by one of Naples finest builders and designed by one of Naples finest architects.”

“Completed in 2014, the home has a sense of beauty and grace rarely achieved anywhere else in the world. Spend time reviewing this iconic home. It will be one of your most rewarding real estate experiences. This is a very rare and exciting offering.”

The Minneapolis address on the deed for buyer ACME LLC matches the suite address for the office of Trust Point financial services firm. A Trust Point representative involved in the deal could not be reached for comment.
