Bonita Springs-based Grumpy Goat Coffee, a craft roaster of specialty grade, single-origin coffee beans from around the world, has launched a cold brew coffee product line.

The cold brew is available for purchase in 16-ounce bottles, half-gallons and gallons at the Grumpy Goat roastery in the Causeway Commerce Park, 28280 Old 41 Road, Suite M-11, in Bonita. Wholesale pricing for restaurants, coffee shops and offices is available upon request.

The local roastery takes the same craft approach with its cold brew process as with its cold-press coffee roasting. Coffee beans used in Grumpy Goat cold brew are an arabica bean grown at high altitude, roasted and then steeped for 24 hours in cold-filtered water with no additives. Compared to iced coffee which is brewed hot coffee that is then chilled, cold brew is an option for coffee lovers with gastro-intestinal sensitivities because no heat is introduced to the coffee beans, nearly eliminating the extraction of acids.

Brian Abernathy, the master roaster and founder of Grumpy Goat in 2016, collaborates with chefs, brewmasters and food industry partners to create award-winning recipes inspired by Grumpy Goat coffee. The roastery is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays or by appointment.
