PEPPERLAND RANCH ACRES SELL FOR $19.5 MILLION
TPL-Land Sub, LLC closed on the purchase of 637.5 acres from Pepperland Ranch, LLC for $19.5 million on May 31. The property is located in the Corkscrew Road corridor with 5,280 feet along Corkscrew Road. The 637.5 acres were rezoned from Industrial Planned Development (IPD) to Residential Planned Development (RPD) to permit the development of up to 700 dwelling units and a 50,000-square-foot amenity center. Maximum proposed building height is 35 feet for residential buildings and 45 feet for the amenity center. The development proposes connections to public potable water and sanitary sewer service. The transaction was handled by Select Real Estate agent Beth Stark.
THE BAKER MUSEUM TO REOPEN
The Baker Museum at Artis—Naples will reopen on Dec. 1, after being closed since September 2017 due to damage sustained from Hurricane Irma. The 2019-20 season of visual arts exhibitions will showcase highlights of the museum’s growing permanent collection and works on loan in exhibitions curated especially for the museum. Four major exhibitions will open in conjunction with the reopening of the restored and expanded museum. The Baker Museum has undergone changes as part of a master plan set to recast the relationship between the buildings, parking and landscape of the Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus. Highlights of the transformation include the multipurpose performance and learning center on the first floor, the signature event space on the second floor and an elevated open-air terrace that will host rotating outdoor sculpture exhibitions.
PYURE BRANDS GROWS DISTRIBUTION
Naples-based Pyure Organic has launched its Pyure Organic Stevia Sweetener in Publix Super Markets. Pyure Brands established its footprint in Naples 11 years ago and the startup has become the fastest-growing independent organic sweetener company in the U.S., according to a news release. With new FDA menu labeling requirements for added sugar on all packaged foods and beverages beginning in January 2020, retailers such as Publix are expanding space for Stevia sweeteners, a press release states.

CBIA APPOINTS ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
Amelia Vasquez has been appointed associate director of the Collier Building Industry Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and master’s degree from Hodges University. Vasquez is also a graduate of Leadership Collier, Class of 2004. For the past seven years, she has served as CBIA’s director of member services, where she led the efforts for many of CBIA’s most successful programs and events, including general membership meetings, CBIA mixers, the Parade of Homes and Sand Dollar Awards.

Royal Shell, Royal Shell Port Sanibel Marina to sponsor artificial reef initiative
Royal Shell and Royal Shell Port Sanibel Marina are sponsoring Ocean Habitats Inc.’s Thousand Reef Challenge, an environmental 501(c)(3) effort to rebuild Florida’s living coastline with the installation of artificial reefs. Eight miniature reefs on Friday will be placed in the water at Port Sanibel Marina to commemorate World Oceans Day on Saturday. This public event, from 3-5 p.m., will include raffle and door prizes, refreshments, mini reef education and viewing, and mini reef donations. All of the donations will benefit Ocean Habitats.
