St. Matthew’s House has named Steve Brooder chief executive officer. Brooder previously served as chief operating officer and interim CEO. During his seven years as chief operating officer, Brooder led St. Matthew’s House through organizational changes as it experienced growth and increasing need for its services, the not-for-profit human services organization states. St. Matthew’s House operates the only emergency homeless shelters in Collier County and the only Collier County facility approved for public feeding, providing more than 500,000 meals each year for St. Matthew’s House residents and those in the community suffering from chronic hunger.
