BARRON COLLIERS COS. PLANS COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT IN GOLDEN GATE ESTATES
A new commercial development is planned for Immokalee Road at Orange Tree Boulevard in Golden Gate Estates. The three-way traffic light at the Immokalee Road entrance into Valencia Lakes and Citrus Greens at Orangetree residential communities eventually will be a four-way light when the proposed development is completed on the western edge of Immokalee Road. Property owner Barron Collier Companies is expected to begin work on the 19 acres by mid-2021, said David Genson, president of development for the Naples-based developer. Expect a mix of retail and possibly some medical uses to serve that area of the Estates, Genson said. On Sept. 17, the Collier County Planning Commission unanimously approved 180,000 square feet of commercial development on that wooded land there between Oil Well Road and Randall Boulevard.

NEW YACHT CLUB PLANNED FOR CAPE CORAL
A new yacht club is planned in Cape Coral, equipped with shops, boat slips and a water park with splash pads and water slides. The City of Cape Coral wants to move forward with plans to add boat docks, an ice cream shop and a three-story parking garage for the Cape Coral Yacht Club. The deal is not finalized, but City Council is expected to vote on the plans next week. The project is estimated to cost about $34 million with additional costs for other amenities such as the parking garage and boat ramps,

O-A-K COMPLETES NAPLES AIRPORT FIRE FIGHTING AND RESCUE BUILDING
Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (O-A-K) has completed the replacement of the Naples Airport Fire Fighting and Rescue building (ARFF). The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) partially funded the 9,067-square-foot building at taxiway A, next to the air traffic control building. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held later this fall. The building includes a three-door apparatus bay with mezzanine and equipment storage, administrative, fitness and training rooms, three dorm rooms, restrooms with showers, a kitchen and dining/day room. The overhead doors on the taxiway side of the building open in just three seconds, according to a news release. A new utility transformer and generator were installed. Site improvements include a parking lot, driveways, fencing, gates and landscaping. The old ARFF building, located at the north intersection of the runways, was demolished.
NARRATIVE COFFEE ROASTERS TO EXPAND WITH SECOND LOCATION
MK Architecture is providing architectural and engineering plans for Narrative Coffee Roasters as it expands to include a second coffee house location in Naples. This location will include an in-house coffee roaster. Once complete, the new Narrative will be located within the Eleven Eleven Central development located at 1111 Central Ave., Naples. MK Architecture is currently in the design phase of the project with permitting anticipated toward the end of 2020.
SOUTH STREET PLANS SECOND LOCATION AT FUTURE FOUNDERS SQUARE IN NAPLES
The second location of South Street City Oven Bar & Music will anchor The Point, a cluster of restaurants and retail shops planned in the 55-acre Founders Square mixed-use development on the southeast corner of Immokalee Road and Collier Boulevard in the Naples area. The restaurant and bar are targeted to open in late summer/early fall 2021, said Diana M. Pleeter, owner and president of South Street Restaurant Group. At 6,211 square feet, South Street will occupy the largest unit and be joined by about a dozen other businesses in the more than 38,000-square-foot The Point, expected to be dominated by local restaurants. Since 2007, South Street’s original location has anchored Goodlette Corners retail center at Goodlette-Frank and Pine Ridge roads in Naples.
STEVENS CONSTRUCTION BEGINS TRULY NOLEN OPERATIONS BUILDING
Stevens Construction has started construction of a new operations building for Truly Nolen. Stevens Construction is building a two-story, 9,722-square-foot facility, which will house Truly Nolen’s Fort Myers sales, service and administration departments, as well as provide warehouse storage. Located at 2715 Edison Ave., the project is slated for completion in summer 2021. The Stevens Construction team worked in preconstruction for six months prior to construction starting.
