PULTE ANNOUNCES NEWEST NORTH NAPLES COMMUNITY

Pulte Homes will soon offer a signature blend of construction homes in its newest community, Ventana Pointe. The new, private 37-acre North Naples community is located off Immokalee Road, just two miles east of Collier Boulevard. Expansive homesites provide ample space for indoor-outdoor connection, with homes featuring lake or nature preserve views. An amenity center featuring a sparkling pool and cabana will provide homebuyers with onsite choices for rest and relaxation. Ventana Pointe offers a selection of Pulte’s consumer-inspired, open home designs offering 1,662 to 3,416 square feet of flexible living space, with customizable floor plans and finishes. Gulfstream Homes, a Southwest Florida custom home builder, has expanded its services onto Marco Island and is officially opening its model home to the public this month. ROYAL PALM GARDENS APARTMENTS RENOVATION CONTINUES

Renovation work at Royal Palm Gardens Apartments, formerly Jones Walker Apartments in Fort Myers, is currently progressing on schedule, according to the Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). Third-phase residents moved back to the property, and the fourth and final phase of unit work for 24 units is now underway. The fourth-phase of unit work is expected to be completed in October. The community room/office area work has been completed, and the landscaping and site work will be starting in the next week or so. Fort Myers CRA’s budget for the fiscal year 2020-2021 was adopted at the Board of Commissioners meeting on Sept. 23. For more information, click here.

BARRON COLLIERS COS. PLANS COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT IN GOLDEN GATE ESTATES

A new commercial development is planned for Immokalee Road at Orange Tree Boulevard in Golden Gate Estates. The three-way traffic light at the Immokalee Road entrance into Valencia Lakes and Citrus Greens at Orangetree residential communities eventually will be a four-way light when the proposed development is completed on the western edge of Immokalee Road. Property owner Barron Collier Companies is expected to begin work on the 19 acres by mid-2021, said David Genson, president of development for the Naples-based developer. Expect a mix of retail and possibly some medical uses to serve that area of the Estates, Genson said. On Sept. 17, the Collier County Planning Commission unanimously approved 180,000 square feet of commercial development on that wooded land there between Oil Well Road and Randall Boulevard.

NEW YACHT CLUB PLANNED FOR CAPE CORAL

A new yacht club is planned in Cape Coral, equipped with shops, boat slips and a water park with splash pads and water slides. The City of Cape Coral wants to move forward with plans to add boat docks, an ice cream shop and a three-story parking garage for the Cape Coral Yacht Club. The deal is not finalized, but City Council is expected to vote on the plans next week. The project is estimated to cost about $34 million with additional costs for other amenities such as the parking garage and boat ramps, WINK News reports.
 

GAMMA TECH SERVICES TO MOVE HQ

Gamma Tech Services, a technology design firm specializing in smart home automation integration, security and managed IT services, is on the move. Owner Bradd Konert and his team will be moving from Trade Center Way in Naples to its new headquarters at 3106 Horseshoe Drive S., formally occupied by Coastal Engineering. O-A-K COMPLETES NAPLES AIRPORT FIRE FIGHTING AND RESCUE BUILDING

Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (O-A-K) has completed the replacement of the Naples Airport Fire Fighting and Rescue building (ARFF). The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) partially funded the 9,067-square-foot building at taxiway A, next to the air traffic control building. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held later this fall. The building includes a three-door apparatus bay with mezzanine and equipment storage, administrative, fitness and training rooms, three dorm rooms, restrooms with showers, a kitchen and dining/day room. The overhead doors on the taxiway side of the building open in just three seconds, according to a news release. A new utility transformer and generator were installed. Site improvements include a parking lot, driveways, fencing, gates and landscaping. The old ARFF building, located at the north intersection of the runways, was demolished.
 

NARRATIVE COFFEE ROASTERS TO EXPAND WITH SECOND LOCATION

MK Architecture is providing architectural and engineering plans for Narrative Coffee Roasters as it expands to include a second coffee house location in Naples. This location will include an in-house coffee roaster. Once complete, the new Narrative will be located within the Eleven Eleven Central development located at 1111 Central Ave., Naples. MK Architecture is currently in the design phase of the project with permitting anticipated toward the end of 2020.
 

SOUTH STREET PLANS SECOND LOCATION AT FUTURE FOUNDERS SQUARE IN NAPLES

The second location of South Street City Oven Bar & Music will anchor The Point, a cluster of restaurants and retail shops planned in the 55-acre Founders Square mixed-use development on the southeast corner of Immokalee Road and Collier Boulevard in the Naples area. The restaurant and bar are targeted to open in late summer/early fall 2021, said Diana M. Pleeter, owner and president of South Street Restaurant Group. At 6,211 square feet, South Street will occupy the largest unit and be joined by about a dozen other businesses in the more than 38,000-square-foot The Point, expected to be dominated by local restaurants. Since 2007, South Street’s original location has anchored Goodlette Corners retail center at Goodlette-Frank and Pine Ridge roads in Naples.
 

STEVENS CONSTRUCTION BEGINS TRULY NOLEN OPERATIONS BUILDING

Stevens Construction has started construction of a new operations building for Truly Nolen. Stevens Construction is building a two-story, 9,722-square-foot facility, which will house Truly Nolen’s Fort Myers sales, service and administration departments, as well as provide warehouse storage. Located at 2715 Edison Ave., the project is slated for completion in summer 2021. The Stevens Construction team worked in preconstruction for six months prior to construction starting. The Stevens Construction team includes project manager, Michael Brooks; superintendent, Jamie Bridges; and project administrator, Rebeccah Cabana. The project was designed by Studio A.D. Architect.
 

STOCK CUSTOM HOMES TO COMPLETE CUSTOM ESTATE HOME IN TALIS PARK

Stock Custom Homes, the award-winning luxury homebuilding division of Stock Development, recently signed a contract to build a custom estate home in the Firenze neighborhood of Talis Park. The home will be 7,104 square feet under air. The team includes architect R.G. Designs, Inc., landscape architect Architectural Land Design, and design by Ficarra Design Associates. Cordeterras LLC purchased a 1762-square-foot commercial condominium, Unit 5, in Mission Square at 1575 Pine Ridge Road in Naples, from the seller, The Anthony Spano Revocable Trust, for $450,000. Ed Boeder of SWFL Properties represented the seller in the transaction.

ON THE MOVE

 

Maureen Camacho 

Maureen Camacho has joined Suffolk’s Southwest Florida operations as business development manager. In her new role, Camacho will work with Suffolk’s executive and business development teams to implement a growth and diversification strategy for the company’s Southwest Florida division. She will leverage her industry background in sectors such as public works, healthcare, education, multifamily housing and senior living. Originally from Costa Rica, Camacho grew up in Naples and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Camacho is a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Real Estate Investment Society and Urban Land Institute; board member for Make-a-Wish Foundation Southern Florida; treasurer for the Fort Myers FGCU Alumni Chapter; and representative for the Construction Industry Advisory Board for FGCU. She is also a Leadership Collier graduate and is involved with a number of nonprofits.

 

Charles Thomson

Seagate Development Group LLC has hired Charles Thomson as general counsel. This comes as the development and construction company experiences exponential growth, particularly with its corporate headquarters portfolio. Thomson will provide the legal support component for the property management, residential, and commercial sectors of Seagate. A Florida Bar-licensed attorney, Thomson graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Science in real estate and a Juris Doctor. As a graduate student, his team received the Capstone Trophy following a project centered around significant equity investments and property assets. During his academic career, Thomson was also awarded a Florida Conference Scholarship by the International Council of Shopping Centers — a global trade association representing retail real estate. Prior to joining Seagate, he spent nearly a decade with Coleman, Yovanovich & Koester, P.A. in Naples.

 

Zania Ledwidge

Residential Options of Florida (ROOF) has hired Zania Ledwidge as resident services coordinator. Ledwidge will use her extensive background in service coordination to ensure ROOF residents successfully live independently. Ledwidge will provide residents with referrals, assist in accessing community resources, and empower residents by locating or initiating enrichment services. Ledwidge has worked 20 years in the health and human services nonprofit industry. She has experience working as a director of Medicaid service coordination, care manager director, and residential manager. She received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the State University of New York, Stony Brook.

 
Stock Signature Homes has promoted William Pitt to warranty manager and hired Mike Susik as the regional director of construction for the Lakewood Ranch, Florida, area. Pitt will oversee the warranty processes for Stock. He has been with Stock for seven years, starting as an assistant superintendent and eventually becoming a superintendent in Naples. Pitt then relocated from Naples in 2016 to build for Stock in Lakewood Ranch. He is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University. Susik will oversee all parts of the construction life cycle from pre-construction planning through warranty as needed. He will be working with the sales, purchasing, design, and construction teams, as well as the buyers. Susik has 25 years of experience in the residential contracting business. Susik is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and has held general contractors and home inspector licenses.
 
Southwest Florida-based GATES Construction has added Josh Behan as senior superintendent. Behan is responsible for daily onsite supervision of GATES’ projects, including quality control, safety, security, project closeout, and transition planning. He has over 25 years of construction experience with a wide variety of project types such as healthcare, education, multifamily, and commercial construction. Josh Behan will be based out of GATES’ Sarasota office and working is currently working on 332 Cocoanut, a luxury condominium community located in the Rosemary District neighborhood of downtown Sarasota.
