As it celebrates its fifth anniversary Naples-based general contracting and construction management firm Waltbillig & Hood announced its expansion into new markets in the state as well as in the Southeast.

In 2016 Jay Waltbillig and Brian Hood started with six employees. Now, they have more than 30 in a company that is now doing work in the Sarasota and Bradenton markets and is moving into the Carolinas. Boasting a bond program in excess of $100 million, Waltbillig & Hood has worked with Physicians Regional and NCH healthcare systems as well as Arthrex. “As they grow their footprint locally and outside this region, our team is expanding alongside them to continue providing the high-quality workmanship and exceptional service that they are accustomed to with Waltbillig & Hood,” Waltbillig said in a news release.

The company with recent projects in Lakewood Ranch will rely on its internship program in partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University’s construction management program. It was established in 2019 with the hope of producing skilled construction managers to support the company’s growth.
