A company that produces and plans the displaying of priceless artifacts across the country and around the world established its headquarters in January 2020 in Lee County.
World Heritage Exhibitions is getting even bigger.
The company, founded by Cape Coral resident Anthony Tann, received the rights to produce three new touring properties.
Pompeii, Mummies of the World and Victoria the T.rex are three new exhibitions that will be under W.H.E.’s arsenal.
Tann set up shop in Lee County after graduating from St. Bonaventure with a political science degree.
“I’ve been in Cape Coral since I graduated from college in 2015,” said Tann, who established the museum exhibition company after working for a few years for Gartner. “The biggest reason for pushing this right now is to let people know we exist and to help people find our job listings.”
World Heritage Exhibitions has a 15,000-square-foot warehouse and office space at 14661 Jetport Loop Road.
Priceless artifacts like mummies and items salvaged from Pompeii in Italy are not stored in the warehouse.
The storage is used for merchandise relating to the exhibitions.
“Our exhibits tend to go somewhere for six months at a time,” Tann said. “They are viewed by as many as 150,000 to 1.5 million people in six months.
“We hire people all over the world. We’re really trying to have our entry-level positions out of Fort Myers.”
Tann is next looking to hire an accounting finance manager.
Although founding a touring museum company just as a global pandemic began presented a lot of challenges, Tann said in a news release the company has adapted just fine.
“We’ve experienced rapid growth in recent months, expanding not only our roster of touring properties but also our team,” Tann described. “Many of our staff cut their teeth in the museum industry and were pivotal in the success of these very exhibitions from their onset. Therefore, our team already knows these exhibitions and their fine lending institutions inside and out. We’ll immediately be able to bring them to market with unprecedented fan fair. I don’t think there is another team better equipped to ensure that these touring monuments to history are preserved and on display throughout the world’s cultural institutions for years to come.”
