Construction crews have moved traffic to permanent lanes on the Sanibel Causeway, and all lanes are open to traffic, the Florida Department of Transportation announced. As part of the Sanibel Causeway Emergency Restoration project, the westbound merge location is now west of the toll plaza. Construction vehicles and equipment continue to enter/exit the staging area near this location. Crews will be removing debris and construction material throughout the project area over the next week.
