Lee County commissioners approved more than $13 million in contracts to restore beach parks, repair Hurricane Ian-damaged boardwalks and advance reconstruction of the Fort Myers Beach Pier. The projects include improvements at Bonita Beach Park and Bowditch Point Park, repairs to multiple beach accesses and boardwalks, and engineering oversight for the planned 1,000-foot-long pier replacement.
