Cape Coral City Council approved the formation of two Community Development Districts CDDs for Seven Islands and Star Farms projects, enabling infrastructure financing independent of the city while maintaining city control over land use and zoning decisions.

Cape Coral City Council will decide whether to create Community Development Districts for the Seven Islands and Star Farms developments. The districts would finance hundreds of millions of dollars in infrastructure without shifting costs to taxpayers.
