Companies are changing up tactics to become more tech savvy.
Mentorship is changing in the modern workplace, according to a recent Fortune write-up.
Instead of seasoned professionals teaching (often younger) office newcomers how things are done, employers are now counting on their 18- to 35-year-old employees to teach preceding generations how to use digital tools like social media and crowd-sourcing for business.
The concept is called “reverse mentoring,” according to Fortune, and experts say partnering young employees with company leaders can improve communication and help companies become more tech savvy. Corporations like UnitedHealth Group and Target have already embraced it.
