LEE COMMISSIONERS DONATE THREE RESIDENTIAL LOTS TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING NONPROFIT
Lee County commissioners voted Tuesday to donate three surplus residential lots to a local nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing to elderly, disabled, veterans and youth aging out of foster care. The lots donated to the Affordable Home Ownership Foundation Inc. are 1007 Eisenhower Blvd., Lehigh Acres; 1001 Eisenhower Blvd., Lehigh Acres; and 429 Sacramento St., North Fort Myers. NEW COMMUNITY COMING TO ESTERO
Pulte Homes announces the creation of Corkscrew Estates in Estero. The new community’s private, gated entry will welcome homebuyers to 59 exclusive new estate homesites of nearly an acre, most with views of the community’s nature preserves, lakes, or both. The lushly landscaped neighborhood will feature long, elegant paver-covered driveways complementing a selection of newly designed and consumer-inspired Pulte home designs. CITY MATTRESS OUTLET ANCHORS PALM POINTE SHOPPES
The Fortunoff anchor space at
Palm Pointe Shoppes in Fort Myers is now occupied by City Mattress Outlet; the first outlet concept under the
City Mattress brand. The 10,099-square-foot stand-alone building is located at 11521 S. Cleveland Ave. with a 284-unit multi-family development just behind Palm Pointe. This is the retailer’s seventh regional store, with locations ranging from Palm Pointe to the developing Interstate-75 and Alico Road project.

MHM DEVELOPMENT COMPLETES MICRO-HOSPITAL
Naples-based MHM Development has recently completed the development and sale of its micro-hospital located in Austin, Texas. Matthew Zwack
Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. (O-A-K), a general contractor serving Southwest Florida, announces that Vice President of Operations Matthew Zwack will assume the role of president in January 2021. Zwack will succeed current president David Dale. Dale will remain with the company through the end of 2021 to facilitate the transition. Dale joined O‑A‑K in 1989 and was promoted to the board of directors in 2004. In 2008, he became president of O‑A‑K Florida. Zwack joined O-A-K Florida in 2005 as an assistant superintendent and was promoted to job site superintendent, overseeing both public and private work. He served as the chief safety officer and general superintendent, overseeing all superintendents within O-A-K Florida. He was appointed to the O-A-K Florida board of directors in 2016. In 2019, Zwack was named vice president of operations.
Lorraine Strand
Southwest Florida home builder Frey & Son Homes welcomes two new team members this month, Lorraine Strand and Brian Heiniger. Strand, a veteran in the industry with more than 18 years of experience, joins the purchasing team at Frey & Son, and is responsible for various aspects of the process, including ordering supplies and materials, coordinating vendors and maintaining project budgets. Joining the team as a superintendent, Heiniger has been in the construction industry for more than 27 years. His responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations on the job sites and quality control.

Naples Area Board of Realtors (NABOR) presented checks totaling $17,500 to two charities—
Silent Angels and
Bosom Buddies—as a result of their fundraising efforts in 2020. The Silent Angels fund is a Florida Realtors charity composed of Realtors dedicated to helping community members who have encountered a tough set of circumstances but may not be comfortable reaching out for help.
