The poolside tiki bar has a new name and a new face at Comfort Inn & Suites in Naples.

The renamed 3860 Tiki Bar & Grille launches Monday, Dec. 19, in front of the hotel off Collier Boulevard just south of the Interstate 75 interchange for Alligator Alley.

Comfort Zone Tiki Bar launched in January 2020, just before the pandemic temporarily closed businesses worldwide, but the bar shuttered this past June. In the meantime, Comfort Zone’s beige look has been brightened with a tropical remodel to create 3860 Tiki Bar & Grille, which takes its name from the hotel’s address at 3860 Tollgate Blvd.

“It looks totally different than it did before,” said Andrea Wells, general manager of the Comfort Inn. “Marcus Zotter, who does mural arts in Naples, actually did the whole wall in the bar.”

Zotter painted a colorful shoreline sunset scene with palms, tropical flowers and shorebirds. He adorned the pillar in the center of the hexagonal bar with a tiki totem topped by a purple octopus.

The fresh look extends along the full bar, now topped with a brilliant blue water appearance. “We did our bar and countertop with epoxy. It’s a whole other level than it was before,” Wells said.

The 50-seat tiki bar serves as the hotel’s restaurant and bar but is also open to the public. “It has a pool there so people can have a drink and relax by the pool,” said Wells, noting that Brittany Fox and Christian Restrepo will manage the bar and kitchen, respectively.

“We have a kitchen. We will be having a food menu,” she said. “We’re just doing burgers, sub sandwiches, wings, small appetizers, nachos.” A build-your-own-burger option also will be available.”

The bar and grill will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Live entertainment is in the works. “We will be doing happy hour specials,” Wells said. “Also, if you work in the hospitality business, one night you’ll get a certain percentage off.”

Built in 1992 next to the Cracker Barrel restaurant, the 198-room hotel is owned by Mario and Robert Vocisano, who also own the Best Western hotel on Pine Ridge Road in Naples and the former Quality Inn on Golden Gate Parkway that recently was converted to apartments in Golden Gate. Wells has been employed at the Comfort Inn for 24 years.

“I’ve seen all the changes and stuff,” she said. “I started with the front desk, then did front office manager, assistant manager and then GM.”
