
Bruce Tolford Grady
Former Fort Myers mayor Bruce Tolford Grady died Aug. 14 at 73. A Fort Myers native, he dedicated his career to improving the community, developing and managing real estate properties across the city until being elected to City Council in 1988. In 1996, he was elected mayor with accomplishments that included the creation of the Winkler Safe Neighborhood District and the redevelopment of McGregor Boulevard. A celebration of life will take place Aug. 31 at Covenant Presbyterian Church on McGregor Boulevard.
