Estero Village Council, in past discussions, identified neighborhoods that were not hooked up to municipal water or sewer lines and decided to systematically upgrade them to help eliminate pollution into the Estero River. Council on July 2 voted to approve Wright Construction Group Inc. as its construction manager at risk for the first two neighborhoods involved in the program. A contract with Wright for $2,120,269 includes construction for Cypress Bend RV Resort. Another contract for $2,540,946 is for improvements at Sunny Grove Park on the west side of U.S. 41. Both projects include a new sanitary sewer force main out that will connect with Lee County Utilities and the removal of existing wastewater treatment plant facilities.
