Stevens Construction completed The Beach Bar at 1668 I St. on Fort Myers Beach, rebuilding the venue after Hurricane Ian destroyed the original structure in 2022. Construction began in October 2024 on the new 6,133-square-foot, three-story building, which features resilient materials and coastal protections, including turtle-friendly lighting and marine-grade cabinetry. The first floor offers a walk-up bar, retail and covered seating, while the upper floors house a rental unit. The project marks the first full rebuild and reopening on the island post-Ian.
