Chico’s FAS entered a strategic relationship with e-commerce platform fabric Inc. enabling the Fort Myers-based women’s clothing brand to deliver improved speed-to-market for new initiatives, company officials announced.
Chico’s, which began same-day delivery in December powered by Walmart GoLocal in select cities, presented its new technology foundation that includes an omnichannel order management software system that allows access to customer, order and inventory information across all channels. Improved inventory systems will track goods throughout the entire supply chain.
Jay Topper, chief digital officer of Chico’s, said fabric brought a technology solution to the table that fit the company perfectly. While Chico’s will embrace fabric’s modern modular architecture to enable swift implementation across a host of consumer-facing innovations fabric will harness Chico’s understanding of omnichannel boutique retail. The partnership seeks to help drive Chico’s ship-to-store, same-day delivery, social commerce and its Virtual Stylist program.
“Our approach to headless, composable and API-driven capabilities will give Chico’s FAS the tools they need to stay ahead of the curve in today’s rapidly changing omnichannel retail environment,” fabric CEO Faisal Masud said.
